Where can I get assistance with grants?

I am enrolled in school, but I can't get finacial aid due to someone using my name at school in 1997. I can't afford school by myself. Any answers appreciated.

Have you talked to the financial aid office about the identity theft?  You should be able to do something about this.  The deficit reduction act of 2005 passed a lot of legislation, among which was:

15. Adds discharges for loans to students who attended schools that

    failed to provide a refund, or where the loan was falsely

    certified as a result of identity theft.

I do not recommend attending school without the aid of federal funding if you lack the funds to pay out of pocket.  Private loans are for the devil.
