Question:

Where can I get blades for my "Performance Power" bench planer\jointer?

I bought it from B&Q but apparantly they don't stock parts. Does anyone know what other make will fit this planer?

  1. I think you should lean on B&Q a bit harder!  Everyone who bought one will need blades, they should supply them.  Ask for the manager, insist they get some.

    It should be fun, they can't hurt you and it will be good practise in exercising your consumer power.

    Logical, not annoyed.  Make it their problem.  You have bought this from them expecting to use it like any other piece of equipment.  It is not broken, you are happy with it.  They are a large, responsible company (with lots of money).

    If they still can not get spare blades, ask for a full refund (or credit note) so you can buy a Black & Decker or a Bosch which do have spare blades available.

    It is so irresponsible of these companies to sell tools like this!  (They have a budget for fixing customer problems, it is up to us to spend it)


  2. Black and Decker or De Walt blades will fit all you need to know is the width of the cutter block

  3. Try taking the blades off and going to machine mart and asking if they have any in stock.
