Where can I get building instructions and plans for a Rail-Bike?

It is meant to ride a bicycle (or 2) on unused or abandon railroad tracks. The one-bike version uses an outrigger design. I saw these plans in Popular Mechanics in the early 70's.

  2. Try a search using "Railriders".  I'm pretty sure that's it. A guy there builds what you're looking for. He also sells just the flanged wheels. It's a place to start. You can also search under "railroad wheels" and get some manufacturers there. I've seen steel wheels, rubber tread aluminum wheels, and many others in various sizes.
