  1. you can order them online.

oprah sells them on her website for about $7 i think.

    and peta2.com sells some too.

  2. An ECO Shopping System for two people with a variety of bags for a range of applications...going to the grocery store, farmer's market, drug store, etc. It may be the end to plastic bag pile ups in your home!

This set includes: Three full size 10 oz natural canvas totes, two classic string market bags and two produce bags.

All bags are produced with natural, undyed cotton. / http://www.ecobags.com/s.nl

  3. well if you get up to level two on yahoo answers then you have chance to win one. but if you think about it there not that expensive and if you are serious about saving the earth and lowering your impact you should definitely think about it

  4. well nearly all major stores sell them for about $2-5 but if u are looking fro cheaper ones. heinens sells them for $.99

  5. Many grocers are beginning to sell them at the checkout.  The price is usually a little less than what they pay for them.  It saves them from buying paper or plastic bags and it is good for the environment.  If you don't see them, ask your grocer.

  6. Most grocery stores sell them for 99 cents apiece. That's where I got mine. You might also check at places like Wal-Mart but look at your preferred gorcery store first. They almost always have them.

  7. albertsons has bags that are I think $1 and are reusable

  8. at trader joes u can get a plastic reusable bag for .99cents and a canvas one for 2.99.  if ur looking for organic or recycled bags then go to www.reusablebags.com.  at Trader Joes the prices for food is very cheap u should go check it out sometimes while ur trying to get those reusable bags.

thanks for doing your part to help the environment.

  9. Try thrift stores, campus book stores, community centers and galleries. The cheapest answer is to make your own it is really easy just fold a 5 foot length of sturdy fabric in half (old jean legs work great for this) then sew the sides closed leaving the top open and attach handles either ready made, salvaged from an old purse or belt or made from 3ft of fabric arched on each side. There are even clearer instructions at this site: http://www.andsewitis.net/sewing/totebag... Good Luck!

  10. Visit Reusablebags.com.  They have a huge variety of reusable shopping bags.  Compact collapsible bags, organic cotton bags, cotton mesh, recycled rice bags, etc.  They also offer other fantastic products like insulated bags for transporting hot and cold items, reusable thermoses and drinking bottles made from non-leaching materials, reusable cotton produce bags (because, let's face it, those can really add up too).  My absolute favorite product: a reusable sandwich wrap (a washable material that you wrap your sandwich in instead of using hundreds of single-use plastic sandwich bags).

They're prices are totally reasonable, and you can get discounts for ordering more than one of numerous items, so encourage your friends to go in on an order with you!

  11. Almost every major grocery store has them for $2-$4.

Yahoo Answers is giving them free but you have to be at level 2.

  12. Trader Joe's sells reusable canvas grocery bags. I think they are 2 dollars. They are good when you shop at Trader Joe's, but I'm not sure if you'd want to bring them anywhere else.

Also, click here for a whole bunch of choices:

Hope I was of help! :)

  13. Depending on which part of the country you are, you may want to check your local dollar store.  Although not necessarily a green business, these places carry a lot of dollar-priced items, and canvas grocery bags happen to be one of them.  You may want to weigh your options though:  yes, these bags might be cheap. but do they come from sweat shops or countries where the people who make them are overworked and underpaid?  Some other places, like certain famous coffee shops and even museums carry them too, but these are usually expensive.  A funny sample:  I saw a lady at a local grocery store using a duffle bag to carry her groceries instead of the store's plastic bags.  I did not care, anything to help the environment.  Hope this helps!

  14. I go to conventions through work and save the bags they give me and use them as grocery bags and carry bags until they give out.  It's wonderful!!  And the best part too is that I work for an environmental office so most of the bags are made from recycled bottles or plastic, etc. so it's like double-recycling.

Look for things like that at your local thrift or Goodwill store too.
