Where can I get cheap car insurance?

I'm going to be sixteen soon and my parents are still thinking about whether or not they'll let me drive. But I really need this 'cuz my parents can never pick me up on time after school and it's too far to walk. (No bus)

So, I just wanted to know what's the cheapest car insurance there is for 16 year old drivers. I heard you could get discounts for getting strait A's (which I do), taking driver's ed, and having an older car (which I will).

You should try either Geico or Progressive. They usually have the cheapest rates for teen drivers.  Insurance is usually pretty expensive for a new driver but it's good that you have good grades and are driving an older car.  

Just do a bit of research online and compare quotes from multiple companies and you should be fine. If your parent's are concerned about the cost you might want to volunteer to get a job and help pay for it if you really want to drive.

Every state is different,  Typically your cheapest route will be to be added on to your parents insurance.
