I have an 8 month old daughter and am ready to return to work... However I'm finding out that I would be working pretty much just to pay child care. I just barely go over the limit of government assistance (Even though I'm scrounging for change for gas and food!). I just need some help. I have to return to work to keep my family from going under, but I just can't afford the dayacare and I don't have anyone around who can help me out. Does anyone know of any other financial assistance programs for child care I might could try? Thank you for your help.

  1. The baby's father.  Your parents. His parents. Your grandparents.  His grandparents.  The local churches.  Of all those people, not one will help you?  If not, it doesn't seem like you were in any position to have a child...???

Parents are not raising their children to make good decisions and the taxpayers suffer the consequences.  Gov't assistance is like a carrot hanging in front of the horse.  As long as it is there, people will continue to make bad choices and continue to not raise their children to make good choices themselves.  We need to break the cycle of dependency.

  2. Go to the nearest office of Texas Workforce and ask if they can help with the childcare. I believe one of the main rules is you have to be employed at least part time, but you can ask.
