Where can I get corn bread in Sydney?

I tried one american cafe but it was so disappointing.

Where can I find the sweet fluffy corny goodness of fresh baked cornbread?

  1. You know there are plenty of other things to eat in Australia, than cornbread.  

    Firstly, it's not part of our cuisine.  The only real culinary influence America has had on us is via cheap fast food.

    Secondly, when you travel, don't expect to find the things you have at home (possibly a hard concept for Americans).  Cornbread just isnt' a common food item here, you probably do best to make some yourself.

  3. At your local bakery.  Not store, but bakery.  Corn bread may be under another name, like maize, etc.

  4. Its easy to make just buy cornmeal and google the right receipe...

    I did impressed the h**l outta my friends ( Im in N.Z)

    I used the same kinda cornmeal ( was in the baking section) you use to make Polenta....
