Question:

Where can I get cou-nu chickens in USA to raise?

In France they have label rouge ("red label") cou-nu ("naked neck") chickens that are raised free range, and absolutely delicious. I am interested in raising these chickens in Pennsylvania. A place that sells them as food is http://www.joycefoods.com/label-rouge-america.php , but they guard their exclusivity in the USA, I believe. Anyone know where to purchase breeding stock?

  1. Go to Siranus McCluckin's office in East Pennsylvania. He has a couple locked up in his tomato garden. Be careful though! They are lacking in protein;which means that they will have multiple personalities. These chickens are looking for pure love. call them at 1-800-WE-R-CXNZ . Siranus McCluckin will surely have a chicken to satisfy you.  [IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING, I JUST GAVE YOU THE GUN AND THE WINK)

  5. first label rouge is not a breed it's how they are raised.  Naked neck or Turken can be found at hatcheries like McMurray and Ideal Poultry.  You could also google for private breeders.
