Where can I get coupons?

Sometimes when I go to the grocery store I see these women with coupon books filled with coupons. I think to myself where in the world is she getting all those? I'm shy and think it would be rude to ask where. I've tried the Sunday paper but personally I don't think it offers much and most products I don't even use. So where can I get coupons? Also I'm not talking about ones you print off from some website. Those are not an option. Thanks in advance!
