Nibbler is correct to say Loch Lomond is good however with regards to the Forth/Clyde Canal as it is an Inland Waterway if you have an outboard engine then you are restircted to one of less than 10Hp.

a place called luss is loch lomand they got a wee ramp there also down in largs ther have a ramp beside the lifeguard depot that you can use an if all else fails theres alwys the forth and clyde canal
