Where can I get financial assistance for my grandchild with whom I have court order custody and he has been

diagnosed with 5 mental disabilities such as Bi-Polar disorder, ADHD disorder, etc. Other than SSI benefits. I have Medical for his doctor and prescriptions, but am out of work and caring for my grandchild (6yrs old) full time and have no income.

  1. You should be able to get assistance from the Department of Social Services as long as you can provide the information that establishes that you have legal custody of your grandchild.

    However, since your grandchild is disabled, the Department of Social Services may point you to the Social Security Administration for disability benefits.
