I got married in the USA in January, I am an Italian citizen waiting for my permanent resident card. The FAFSA denied my application because I don't have my permanent resident card yet (it's gonna take a few months). Where can I apply for free money, grants and scholarships?

  1. Without being an American citizen you are going to be last on most list.  Most people give money to American citizens first then take care of everyone else.  If you NEED to go to college right now the best thing to do it get a job, and pay for school yourself.  Nothing is free!!!

  2. Your local library should be the source for information concerning scholarships, grants etc. I wouldn't classify it as " free money". You will have to prove that you are an achiever, that you are worthy of consideration, and that you are better than those with whom you will be competing. Another source is the college to which you are applying. They may have open scholarships for which you may apply.
