Where can I get free ringtones and/or ringback tones?

I have verizon and I just got a new phone and lost ALL the ringtones I paid for. Bull c**p right? Especially since it wasn't my fault my previous phone died. So I was wondering if there is anywhere on line I can get them for free. I have heard of such things, but don't know where to find it or how to get it on my phone. Thanks =)
