  1. At most supermarkets they have some fake meat in the frozen food section. They have Quorn brand products, Morningstar Farms, Boca...Also, Whole Foods has a wonderful selection of vegetarian options. I recommend Boca veggie burgers. They taste great!

  2. I get mine at my local Shop Rite.

They have the vegetarian sliced meat for sandwiches.

And chicken, burgers, even sausage links.

So basically you can find it at any supermarket.

  3. I grew up as a Seventh Day Adventist, a lot of SDA's are vegetarian. SANITARIUM(scuse spelling) Health Food Company is owned by the SDA church and makes a lot of meat substitutes.  Alternately try finding a recipe for gluten steak, a relatively easy meat replacement to make. The chinese call it fake duck. Signing off now lest this become an essay.

  4. Kroger's has a good selection in their Nutrition Center.

My favorite are the Morningstar Farms for sausage links and the Boca brand for burger patties.

  5. try your local supermarket they should have them in the canned section, the frozen section and the dairy section ask a staff member if you have trouble.

also try health stores they useally have a great selection of ready to eat things that are easy for camping picnics so on....

  6. quite simply, its all c**p.

its all soy and filler, in fact the only vegetarian preprepared products i trust are from amys. read the package on garden burgers, boca burgers etc, you'll be surprised. they taste like animal feaces as well, so go figure.

  7. There's a mail order company called Veggie Brothers that makes some pretty good stuff.  They're based in the NY-NJ area, so if you don't live on the East Coast of the U.S., maybe not for you, as they ship the stuff frozen.

Amy's has some pretty good veggie burgers.  Yves, Tofurkey, and Lightlife all have a variety of options.  You can find all of these in your local natural foods store (or Whole Foods).

There's a company called Dixie Diner/Harvest Direct that makes dry mixes.  The Harvest Direct Veggie Ribs are okay, but not my favorites.  You can order them online from the site or from any vegan online retailer.
