Where can I get help for financial aid to study in US?

I'm a Filipino and planning to study certifiacte program in Fashion Studies at Parsons New School Of Design. Can I ask help in the Government for financial assistance? I'm so confuse, I dont know how to start. Hope anyone can help me out. You may know somebody who had study in US too. Thank you very much

I am not from the US, but came to the US for a Masters degree.  I was able to get no financial aid from the US.   Have you tried back home? sometimes it is easier to get help to go to the US than to get it once you are in the US.

In most cases, the US government will only provide university financial assistance to US citizens. However, scholarships have different requirements, and some are available for international students.

Check out University Language Services at http://www.universitylanguage.com . They have an essay contest going on right now for a $500 scholarship. Also, there's tons of essays on the site that can help international students studying in the US.
