Where can I get horse meat in the US?

I've traveled over seas and horse is very common every where but the US... I ate it several times in Germany and enjoyed it. I know many Americans think that eating horse is wrong but I don't know why. I would like to find somewhere I can get it in the US.

Unfortunately you cannot get horse meat in restaurants and supermarkets in the USA.

Come to Europe or go to Canada whenever you feel like it. I know for sure you can get horse meat throughout Canada, especially in the French-speaking regions.

And this is for everyone else:

I see no ethical difference between eating a horse or a cow / a pig.

Horse meat is safer to eat than beef, it's free from tuberculosis and tapeworms. It is lighter and less fatty.

So in the previous decade the USA used to produce horse meat, albeit not for their own consumption. As far as I know, they've made slaughtering horses illegal now, because of the animal's "historic symbolism" as an emblem of the old West.

You people need to weight your prejuduces toward food carefully. Horse meat is great.

The killing of horses for human consumption is widely opposed in countries such as USA and Britain where horses are generally considered to be companion and sporting animals.

    Try giving a search in a restaurant guide you may probably find if there are any.
