Where can I get my dress boots tailored?

I bought my dress boots online but they are really baggy at the ankles and I don't think they are supposed to fit that way. I ride hunters but I get tired of toting around my half chaps and paddock boots and I hate field boots. Since I don't show, I figured dress boots would work. I read somewhere that I can get them cut and sewn to fit my leg? Is this true? Where? Any shoe repair place? I live in the Atlanta area.

Just make sure that the shoe repair place has experience making riding boot repairs. I took mine in to get an elastic gusset put in the tops, and they completely ruined them. You may want to call a couple tack shops and see if they recommend any specific repair shop that they've had good results with. Good luck! :)

if they are the pull on kind they have to be so you can get them on. If it bothers you you should take them to a shoe repair place and get a zipper fitted in them.They can take out leather in the ankle and they will be like a custom fit. If you ever do want to show in hunters you can show in dress boots.
