Where can I get my pool balls engraved?

I want to prepare a very special gift for my friend who is a pool enthusiast. I am thinking about getting him a set of personalised pool balls but I cannot find this service in the UK. Some US companies can do it but they specialise in american balls, not british and that's the main problem. Does anybody know where I can order custom made british-style pool balls?

Also, do I really need to order custom made balls? Can I simply buy ready made ones and take them to timpsons or it would damage the balls?

Somebody help...I know nothing about billiards but I really want to prepare a good gift..

Try and find a trophy shoppe in your area..they do engraving and should be able to help you with the billiard balls..should be a very nice gift..

. My friend's dad has a set of customed engraved billiard balls with his name on each ball. He just took the rack of new balls to an engraving shop and had it done. They just charged him for the service. He didnt have to have the balls custom or special made at all.

Is this a good idea? I mean, it is a nice thought, but would engraving change the balance and roll of the pool balls?
