I am planing to comepletely redecorate my room, but before I can do that I have to get rid of my old furniture. The furniture came in a set of a bed a desk a mini bookshelf thing, so I could sell it but the problem is that the furniture is really worn out and looks pretty old. I live in Richmond BC Canada... Oh, I don't really want to pay money to get rid of it, but if it is necessery then I will...

  1. find a storage in the yellow pages if u don't need it they will donate it to the homeless people

  2. Call local charities, see if any will pick up, but they usually won't take things that are really worn out because they need to be able to sell them. If you have any friends with a truck, get them to take it to a charity store, if the store won't take it, then it can be driven to the dump. I don't know where the dump is in Richmond. Call the city and ask them.

Take a picture, post it at your local grocery store notice board, say it's free but must be picked up.

Same as above, put it on craigslist or freecycle.

Call someone like 1-800-GOT-JUNK who can pick it up and take it to the dump. You'll have to pay them.

If you're in a house, set it out on your front lawn with a free sign on it.

Break it up small enough to go in your regular garbage.
