I don't know exactly what you mean by "boost the sound" but if you're looking for better sound quality from your tts reader then I would recomend a free website called YAKiToMe! http://www.YAKiToMe.com that has the highest quality AT&T Natural Voices plus the Microsoft voices as well. Reads any electronic text. Outputs a podcast that you can download to your iPod as an mp3.
