Where can I get the best ticket prices for a trip to Germany?

I was looking to go to Germany this summer, and I have saved as much as I can. It seems, however, it is not enough for an airplane ticket and have fun there, too. I want to go from Wichita, Kansas to Kiel, Germany. I would probably land in Hamburg and my friend could pick me up. What is the best way to get the best price for a ticket?

Try not to take a direct flight from New York to Hamburg, as it could be very costly. Check with Continental Airlines for a flight to CGN (Cologne). This is a new service and rates are well below other airlines. CGN to Kiel is about 5-6 hrs by train.

Needless to say also check with consolidators i.e. Expedia, Kayak etc.

I have found that this site has the best prices for airfare.  Going and returning on Tuesdays usually gives the lowest fares.

Try Air Transit, they now fly directly into Hamburg Germany, and have the lowest airfares, as they only fly from April-Sept
