I think it's ridiculous that they charge you like 5 or 10 dollars for those. How insane are people? They made from RECYCLEd BOTTLES to help the environment, then they bring them out and charge you to buy them. That's not helping anything. Most people don't care enough to pay. I do care enough, I just don't have any money. lol. So, where can you get them cheaply, or free? (I still think they should be handed out. But that's just me.)

  1. Tons of banks and places that offer credit lines are handing them out these days.  Sometimes you can find them being given away at farmers' markets or street fairs.

  2. grocery

  3. Of course they're expensive!  The company that is making or selling them is in business to make money.  The very bottom line of any business, unless it's a nonprofit business, is to make money.

Since I don't know where you live, I can't give you any tips for finding a nonprofit agency that might provide bags like you're looking for.  Sometimes local health food stores sell bags like these fairly cheaply.

I use Chico Bags http://store.chicobag.com/.  They fold up into a tiny ball http://store.chicobag.com/product/origin... and can be carried in your purse.  They're sold at different retailers http://store.chicobag.com/html/buy-retai... or can be bought from the website.

My husband and I run a volunteer recycling center, and we've ordered Chico Bags in bulk and use them for occasional prizes at activities.  They're very popular.

Thank you for caring enough to want to pay.  You can also always go to Wal-Mart; their "Not a plastic bag" bags are only $1.00.

  4. grocery store.

  5. most of the time they are in the store that u go in but it is worth it becuz when u get the bag u wont have to use an plastic bag again in the place (:

  6. you can probably go to the waste power plant or you can go to the grocery store.

  7. you can find any reusable bag at www.reusablebags.com

  8. Only suckers pay good money for that junk!Remember.."There's a sucker born every minute," in the words of P.T. Barnum.

  9. you can find them at most food store now of days

  10. Sorry, I don't know where you can get them.

Just wanted to say that the charges are for handling.  Also for cleaning.  For each person/company that touches these bags, it cost money in salaries and supplies.

I have fallen out of love with re-cycling.

  11. you can get it at hardees when you order something and subway those paper stuff to hold your subs

you would know they are recycled cuz they stink

  12. Whole foods grocery sells pretty sturdy ones for around $ 1.50 or $2 each. They are larger than a regular brown paper bag too.

Most of the stores in my area just sell polypropolyne bags that are of "unwoven fabric"

I searched ebay and found a picture here.
