Where can I go fishing in Las Vegas NV

Hi I have a small son I would like to take fishing in Las Vegas NV any recomendations we have no boat so will have to fish off shore and of course vegas is hot so we will have to fish somewhere at night and would like a safe place.

One of the sites I discovered in the last couple of years is listed below.

My daughter and I went to our first "Kids Fishing Derby", although kids don't last long and want to throw rocks, sticks, and just give up in a few minutes, so be patient. :D

You can always call the local DNR, or bait & tackle shops too.

Lake Mead, which is not far from Henderson Nv.

Lake Mead? They've got camping spots as well like Boulder Bay & Boulder Beach in Lake Mead National Recreation Area.  And there is the Colorado River and Lake Mojave too.

Cottonwood Cove is on the west bank of the Colorado and offers a marina +boat rentals, lodging, convenience store, diner, ranger station and camping.

Katherine's Landing on Lake Mojave offers a marina, lodging, conveniencestore, ranger station and camping.
