  1. Most likely south carolina cause i went there and its just thousands of courses everywhere, not to include its gorgeous.

  2. start saving and play in the early fall. that is want I am doing, I have seen a few places that I would like to play this year. One is Scottdale, Az and then the Carolina's for 8 days and move on down to Florida for a few rounds before I head homeward.

  3. Hows this and it is cheap.....Long Island NY.....Bethpage Black(site of 02 us open and the 09 us open) OK before you flip out on me on how expensive it is to play let me make you roll your eyes....It is very long, the greens are very fast, and best of all you have to walk it, no carts allowed. It is a beautiful track and get this, I played it twice last season for the small sum of 45 dollars, thats right 45 dollars...opps thats with a ny id so it may be a little higher for out of state. The one thing though it is hard to get a tee time so plan ahead. It is a great day, make sure you eat your wheaties.

  4. either of the carolinas, tons and tons of golf courses in a concentrated area. also try golf digest....look in the back as there are often golf packages you can buy. pay for 6 rounds of golf over four days...things like that. good luck and no bogeys!

  5. I would try to make it down to Myrtle Beach.  Check out Grande Dunes while you are there.

  6. The Carolinas appear to be your best bet for moderately priced getaways. There are a number of packages available through the internet. You may want to consult back issues of Golf Digest which have ads  regarding Carolina golf.

  7. golfing in the carolinas can be done cheap!  do your researc before you go.  i played 72 holes in myrtle beach, on great courses for less than $55 a green fee.  tons of courses and if you go during the "off season", prices are cheaper and you wont be waiting at tee boxes
