I was playing yesterday at my local course in Edinburgh and met three guys up from London on a golf week.  The local council has an offer right now - £60 for a week of golf on any of their six courses (four of which are 18 holes).  The courses are good, particularly Braid Hills which was recently voted in a magazine as the 2nd best public course in Scotland (St. Andrews was first).  You can check out the details at http://www.edinburghleisure.co.uk
