Where can I go to convert Zimbabwe currency to U.S. Dollars ?

I live in the U.S. , and would like to exchange my Zimbabwe dollars for U.S. dollars, does anyone know where I can do that ?

  1. Oh man, I doubt anyone will even take them, even if they're still worth something. Zimbabwe has had an amazing inflation late this year. You'd have to go to a pretty big bank to even try, since small banks don't usually take foreign currency, save perhaps for a few.


  2. No bank or currency exchange in the USA will deal with Zimbabwe dollars. The exchange rate is dropping so fast that they cannot make a profit on them.

    All of the "Bearer Cheque" issues are almost worthless already. The highest value bearer cheque, $100 Billion, is 10 new "revalued" dollars , which is approximately 30 cents US as of 26 August 2008. (37 revalued Zim dollars = US$1)

    You would do much better selling them as collectibles.

  3. I'd call the secratary of state, they will direct you to where you need to go.
