Where can I go to get someone to donate money for my nursing tutiton?

Is there anyone or an association that can donate money towards my college tutition?

Because of the extreme shortages in the nursing profession, SOME (not many, but some) hospitals are offering free or reduced tuition to nursing school students who will sign an agreement promising to work at that hospital for several years after graduation.

Keep in mind that this isn't a system that you can "game" - it's not like you're going to make believe that you'll agree to work there, but plan to let them know a couple of weeks before graduation that you and your husband are moving to Idaho, so unfortunately....

If you take one of these hospitals up on that type of program, you'll be signing a legal agreement (a contract) that says that if you fail to fulfill the post-program employment requirements, that you will be required to reimburse the hospital for the full cost of your education, and probably interest, too.

You'll need to check with hospitals in your community to see if any of your local health care facilities are offering this type of program. As an illustrative example, I've added a link below to a news story describing one such program at Ohio Valley General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Other that these types of programs, where you're offering to work at a hospital if they promise to get you your nursing education - no, I doubt there are many wealthy benefactors out there who want to pay you to go to nursing school just because you seem like a nice person with a noble purpose and a good heart.

Your best bet is going to be to look for Scholarships, Grants, and Student Loans.  Contanct the Financial Aid department of the institution you're getting your degree from and they should be able to provide you with options.
