Where can I go to set up a free online donation account for a friend who needs money to pay a hospital bill?

I want folks to be able to donate money to this account.

Set up a Paypal account; they can donate to it and then you can transfer it online to a bank account. They do charge a fee though, not sure how they would handle a charity thing.

Be careful - there are federal guidelines for this type of thing because of there being so much fraud.  The best way to raise money is to set up a special account at a local bank.  Hang posters in local establishments and advertise (with the person's photo) where the money will go to.  People have gotten away from setting up canisters because of all the fraud (unfortunately).  Good luck and I wish your friend well.
