Where can I go to watch meteor showers in and around manhattan beach, ca?

You need to find a place away from city lights with a clear sky. I'd hop in the car and drive to the mountains, or at least somewhere away from the city.  The darker it is the more meteors you'll see, and the moon is quite bright right now so you might think about sleeping until moonset and then getting up to watch the meteor shower.
