  1. I Dunno!

  2. City Merchant

    97 Candleriggs St,

    Glasgow, G1 1NP. · 0141-553-1577

This relaxed restaurant appeals to a diverse crowd of regulars and visitors, who flock to the City Merchant for Continental favorites such as surf and turf, lobster, halibut, oysters, and more. The blackboard is where you'll find the day's best seafood, specialties, and wines. This is also very handy for all the pubs/clubs in the Merchant City and surrounding areas too.

    Ashoka West End

    1284 Argyle St, Glasgow, G3.  0141-339-0936

This restaurant draws tourists, families, and executives with its spicy Indian cuisine. Convenient to several top attractions, the dining room has Eastern touches such as murals, rugs, and art. The fresh-baked bread is some of the best in the city. There are several milder options for the uninitiated and plenty of vegetarian choices. Try vegetable samosas, chicken tikka chasni, well-cooked lamb, or a rich korma. Reservations recommended on weekends.

Hope you find somewhere suitable and have a great time!

  3. Mings Restaurant is located in Princes Square Shopping Complex.  It's address is 48 Buchanan Street.  Telephone: 0141 248 6330/2255.  They serve Thai, Japanese and Chinese food at quite reasonable prices.  They have a grand piano in the restaurant and sometimes a lady plays beautiful tunes on it.  We love it there.  Fabulous for evening meals and they have a "2 courses for £7.50" option for lunches up to 5pm.  Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

P.S. a word of warning we were in the "City Merchant" and we were charged £3 for tap water - would not go back.

  6. Do a web search.

  7. As the variation of answers here suggests, where you should go really depends on your particular tastes.

Have a look at the restaurant section noted as the source below, and as for where to go for drinks after that, given that I don't know what you'd like, I would suggest heading to Arta in the Merchant City, as its various rooms cater for a great varience in taste.

Have a good night either way.

  11. if you like mexican dishes the i would recommend 'cantina del rey' this spacious, Mexican-style cantina serves all the basic favorites you'd expect, such as margaritas, enchiladas, and burritos. It also has much of the atmosphere you'd expect, with bold colors, piñatas, and framed photographs adding punch to the large domed room. You'll find free nachos and even a free margarita for each guest at the table. What sets this restaurant apart is its upbeat party atmosphere. Reservations aren't necessary.
