Where can I have my work published?

I write poetry and song lyrics often and I think some of my works could be published. I live in Mississauga, Ontario. Where can I go on the internet to get my works published?

I'm sorry, I don't know where on the Internet your songs lyrics could be published and unfortunately I don't think poetry often makes much money (it's just not as popular as regular books). I've read a few of your song lyrics (on Yahoo Answers) and they are very good, if you want to try to sell them I think you should first put them into a song (give them a tune, like a melody and score, like for piano), it would be easier to sell them then. If you can't read music you should take some music classes (you should know the basics, like keys, rhythms and notes at the very least and more if it's at all possible), it will help a lot. If you publish your poetry and lyrics on the Internet you will likely not be able to sell them to music or book publishers or magazines.
