I know I should be looking for this in Italy but I am in Aberdeen and will be here for quite some time. I am looking for the best fettucine available. Does anyone know where can get around Aberdeen?

  1. Try Poldino's in Little Belmont Street. If they've been going 30 years they must be doing something right. I don't know if it's authentic, I've never been there, but I have eaten some very good Italian food in some strange places, places run by real Italian people as a family business. As a note of interest I have heard it said that the "Indian" chicken Tikka was invented in Scotland in reponse to someone asking for "gravy" on his curry. It's now Britain's favourite dish, not fish and chips.
