I used to do Kenjutsu here in Perth when I was younger but where I did it, closed down. Does anyone know where there is a place that is good for me to go to as I want to start up again?

  1. do the other senseis actually have japanese license certificates from japan?

  2. I don't think the other people in Perth who say they are doing Kobudo actually have licenses from Japan except Noah Greenstone

  3. guess it depends on what your idea of 'licensed' is, I think he has a certificate from the Budokan

  4. I don't think Noah Greenstone is the only licenced Kobudo practitioner in Perth. I know of atleast 2 other Kobudo schools in Perth with licenced instructors.

  5. yeah - when Jan De Jong passed away a couple years ago there suddenly was a big gap left in Perth for anyone who wanted to do traditional Japanese martial arts

  6. The best place would have to be Yanagi Martial Arts with Noah Greenstone -- he's the only licensed Kobudo practitioner in Perth - check out http://www.yanagi.com.au/
