  1. Most towns have an HGV(LGV for you youngsters!) training school.Ask around local drivers, yellow pages, internet;you`ll find plenty.do your homework before you choose one, pass rates etc. These days it`ll probably cost you around £2000-£2500 for your Class 1;You have to be 21 but some places have young drivers training schemes. You also have to pass your medical;prices vary from place to place. If your serious about doing this best of luck;but I wouldn`t want to start again;30 years+ is enough for me!To much legislation, down time in traffic in the U.K,VOSA,rules and regs, transport managers who`ve never been in a truck, let alone drive one, and ever changing goal posts these days. It`s not all Yorkie bars and transport cafes (almost extinct!)you know:it can be brain and body taxing.  Of course the other way to get a licence is to go to one of the Eastern block countries and buy one..I think they must sell them in the sweetie shops!!!

  2. Pretty much anywhere ...Have a look on Internet for a local company  contact them or ask around on how good they are ...you will know when they are right for you .......its gonna cost you though ...

Around a £1000 for your class 2 license and another £1000 for your class 1 ....and that's if you pass first time on each one ...Some companies offer an insurance to save you some cash on failing  ...Good luck ..email me if I can help in anyway  and I will try

  3. A lot of companies will give you a free, or cheap, assessment drive if you already have your Cat C provisional licence.

Look in Yellow Pages and Internet then ring a few companies up and see which you prefer.

  4. Google it, there are places all over that will help you....

  5. pretty much anywhere look through the yellow pages

don't for get to ask about the pass rate of the school and weather or not the training is one to one and how many hours a day you'll be doing. some schools are offering cat C and C+E for free at the moment due to a industry shortage of C+E drivers the government are subsidising courses

    Good luck!
