My house is pretty old, and me, my family and friends experience things now and then, so I just wanted to know if there was a site to see the history of my house, thanks :)

  1. you must be experiencing ghosts...

    shhh...

    I won't tell...

  2. You can get a legal history from the abstract.  The title company would have this.  The building inspector's office would have all records of construction and remodeling unless some remodeling was done by a home owner and he did not get a building permit.

What are you looking for?  Sometimes during the prohibition days there were secret rooms built to hid an illegal still.  I know one case where a guy who bought stolen fur goods, had a secret room off of the back of a closet to store the furs.  He is now deceased.

  3. I don't know of a site, but if your local library has back newspapers on file and you can always do a search that way. Also see check with the oldest neighbor in the neighborhood. They usually have stories and will love to share them.
