I'm going next week to spend a day at the beach, but don't know where to park when I get there. Can anyone help me out? I'll pay if I need to, but if there's free parking I prefer that, of course.

  1. Free parking only exists October through April.  There used to be side streets you could park on for free, but that practice was changed around 15 years ago.

In the city of Rehoboth Beach, there is on-street parking on just about street in town.  Most of the downtown areas have parking meters.  If you park in a non-metered space, you'll need a daily parking permit to hang from your rearview mirror.  They sell the permits on Rehoboth Avenue right after you go around the circle.

You can also park at Cape Henlopen State Park near Lewes and Delaware Seashore State Park (Indian River) between Dewey and Bethany.  Both have a daily parking fee as well.  The parking fee here would also include use of the showers.
