Going to London on Saturday, Petrol is by far cheaper than 4 train tickets. Is there free parking anywhere near a tube in the south east (driving up from Margate). Or atleast a relatively cheap long stay car park? thanks

  1. You'll be lucky! However the link below should give you some info

  2. Coming from the South-east/Kent, I would say that the car park at North Greenwich tube would almost be your best bet.

£3, and it's large, so you should be guaranteed a place, and it's well connected to the main road network coming up from kent (M2/M20).

I'm afraid actually free parking is pretty difficult to find in London, even on the streets in many of the boroughs now, and coming into town from the south-east, where the tube is fairly limited, the options aren't so great.

  3. If you're arriving after about 12-1pm why not park in the City?

Parking is only chargeable until 1.30pm and there are on-street bays and parking meters behind Trinity Square by the Tower.

Nearest Underground: Tower Hill (District & Circle Lines)

No Red Ken Congestion Charge on a Saturday either. Straight over Tower Bridge, first left, first available right!

  4. Try Kennington, Vauxhall or brixton you should find some parking nearby to these stations

  5. Gants Hill had one which was 30p an hour 2 years ago. Pretty east, too. May've gone up, now, but can't be by much!

  6. Tube station car park list -
