Where can I publish an opinion piece on human stupidity?

I've written a 2000 word piece that's basically about how and why stupid people annoy me. I've used evidence from Carlo Cipolla and the Darwin Awards to name some. It's a university assignment, and I need to nominate a place that I could possibly submit it for publication. Any ideas on some places that would accept such long pieces?? Australian publications prefered, but will take any ideas.

I highly recommend AssociatedContent.com, a social site for web content publishing, for people that want to write and build a portfolio of published work.

In the USA they pay $4 to $20 (US) per article for certain types of content (text, video, image slideshow, and podcast), and then performance payments of $1.50 per thousand web page views on all your published content. Unfortunately, people outside the USA can only get performance payments due to tax governance problems, but these can still really add up. (You do have to be at least 18 years old to get payments, but anyone over 13 can join.)
