Be careful when using the word organic as you get closer to an industrial context.  In industrial chemistry, organic generally means derived from benzine or similar precursors.  These can be highly synthetic and or dangerous chemicals (benzine itself, is a significant carcinogen).  

For the record, most all the dyes that will be both colorfast and colorful will be synthetic (this is how the modern chemical insustry got its start- artificial dyes, the first being mauve, derived from coal tar).  Many nonindustrial dyes will unfortunately be of the 'make it yourself, hippie' variety
