Where can I safely download songs for free?

They need to be Ipod compatible too. I tried limewire but i couldn't get it to work. I have a mac, I don't know if that makes a difference.

yes, having a Mac does make a big difference. I have tried it on mine with the same issues. U should have no problems with downloading FREE songs from a PC using LimeWire... & yes those songs will play on ur Ipod.

Download your music legally...

Anywhere you get "free" music, ie a file sharing program(Limewire), you risk the chance of a virus.  And it is illegal.

So download legally.  Such as Itunes...

(shouldn't a Mac user know this? seriously..)

try using limewire and if that doesnt work try download youtube music videos and extracting the sound from it there are programs that do this

Download bittorrent for free from Bittorrent.com

then go to mininova.org

or a torrent search engine called torrentz

and seach for a whatever music torrents you want, it is definitely better than limewire or frostwire because they have content which contains virus's. Bittorrent also enables you to download full albums and the album art in one download.
