Question:

Where can I search for the schematic diagram for an AM wireless microphone that will work in medium frequency?

I tried to search the web for any circuit diagram and PCB layout for a hand-free microphone that works in AM (amplitude modulation) broadacast band, but I can't find any. I'm looking for that because I'm going to make an AM mike as a project to be passed this semester. I want a suggestion for websites of where I can find that. I'm also considering the electronic component to be used such as transisitors, capacitors,...etc.

  1. I remember seeing such a circuit in an old electronics magazine.  I'm 90% sure it was Popular Electronics magazine.  You might search their site.  I saw the same kind of circuit in one of those weekend electronics books.  You might check through some of them too.  Sorry I don't have a specific site to direct you to. Just want you to know that such circuits are out there.  You can find one if you search hard enough.

  2. Wireless microphone that works on AM band is not existed in market, because nobody needs this products. The most easy way is convert a cheap AM radio into a low power transmitter. Use the speaker as a microphone (walkie talkie uses in some toy). The output of audio signal feedback to the RF osc circuit to do the modulation. The output RF frequency becomes variable, but it shall be 455kc higher or lower than the dial frequency. Show my answer to your teacher and let me know .........
