There are many places were one can view a genuine Egyptian mummy.  It depends where one lives.  For example, in the greater Northeast, the Metropolitan Museum of Art has a fantastic ancient Egyptian exhibit.  Not only can one view several mummies (I believe at least 10 or so), but there are many other interesting ancient artifacts.

    Another good place is the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  They are currently showing the King Tut roving exhibit, a quick web check can give you details.  The exhibit is closing sometime in the near future though, so time is of the essence.
