Question:

Where can I sell a broken tv?

I have a 52" Mitsubishi WD-52525 that has a messed up power supply. I don't want to spend the money fixing it - I'd rather just buy a new tv. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out how I can get some money for this one. Is there any place that buys these sorts of tvs for repair or for spare parts?

  1. You could try craigslist.  Alternative, you could give it away on craigslist.

  2. Leave it on your curb in the front of your house with a sign reading "FREE"

No one is going to give you money for a broken TV.

Edit: For those who say sell it on eBay. WHO exactly is going to pay the SHIPPING costs for a 52 inch TV? The seller? buyer? It's not worth it.

  3. craigslist or ebay are options, but in my experience, with the market for tvs so good, and the price for new ones steadily dropping, who is gonna buy your broken one and pay for the shipping?  i would cut your losses and put it on the curb.  if your town is like mine, they will take anything (and you're right, fixing it probably ain't worth it, unless you can get the part for very cheap, which i'm doubting.)

  4. try craigslist.com...it does local area listings so you can have them pick it up...maybe someone wants it for parts or to try to fix it

  5. there might be companys listed in the yellow pages

  6. HAHAHA I like your style. Hi im Hal, HALS USED CARS. ive got just that car you need. wanna gas saver, ive got hundreds and unbeilivable low prices. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!

  7. ebay

  8. If you don't wanna pay any fees go to www.craigslist.org and choose your city and seel it under eletronics. Be sure to say that it's a broken TV and have the right price for it.  Also, sell it for $15 bucks more than the price you want for it, so you have room to negotiate the price withough getting hurt on you sale.

    Good Luck!

  9. Ebay and Craigs List as mentioned before.

Just mention what is wrong with it and the parts that are still good.

Look at TVs in Ebay and see how they describe theres so you know how to work your words.

    Good luck!

  10. TV's are becomming a throw away item now so ther'es little if any value once it's broke unless it's a new tv in which case it could possibly used for a screen or parts. I don't believe the tv you mentioend is hd which is what everyone is getting now and with digital cable comming out next year that tv wont work w/o a converter. Just toss it or put an ad on craigslist and someone will probably take it for freee.

  11. Craigslist.org

most states have there cities listed on there. You would be surprised what people post and buy from there.

best of luck! try looking for a tv on there too, we got one from there for 40.

  12. Craig's List is best.

    www.craigslist.com

  13. Ebay. Go to ebay.com to start selling your item. Credit card requires to sign up. The safest place to buy and sell stuffs. There're any kind of condition of the any items on ebay. Sign up for paypal is also required. Coz paypal is way to send and transfer money. Well, you sell stuffs on ebay, your money will be send to your paypal account. If you don't want to sign up for paypal account, then on your payment methods, put persoal check or something else beside paypal coz most ebayers use paypal. Just want to remind you that when you mention your item, please but sold as is ( That means no return or refund ) coz people just want to try to test your item and send it back so you have to put that. Good Luck !
