Question:

Where can I sell an original, full-sized COWS ON PARADE statue from Chicago?

I have an original, full-sized, fiberglass Cows on Parade Statue from Chicago. It is titled "Ox Thing In The Morning" - with the old news anchors from Fox Thing In The Morning.

I know that this could be worth a lot of money to someone, but I just don't know where to try to sell it. I tried Ebay already, and I had no luck. I don't want to have to haul it anywhere, either. It's very large, and it's a pain.

Does anyone have a suggestion of a good place to try to sell it at?

I've already tried searching for forums & other such things with no luck.

  1. Have you tried Craig's List in Chicago?

  2. How many times have you tried Craigslist and Ebay?  You have a specialty art item, and it is going to take TIME to sell it.  You have to catch the collector, and they don't troll Ebay or Craigslist on a regular basis.  And are you offering to ship the cow? Have you checked to see how much it will cost to ship?  Did you include that infor in your add.  Have you tried local papers?  The NY Times classified?  The Chicago Tribune classified?  Selling an item like a fiberglass cow is probably going to be a lot of work. You are going to have to be patient and persistant and try different venues, including the newspaper.  Do you have the Cows on Parade book?  If you can find where the cow was first displayed, go to those local businesses and see if they are interested in purchasing your cow.

  3. EBAY!!!
