Where can I sell beanie babies & how do I know how much they are worth?

I recently inherited my mother-in-law's beanie baby collection. I have no use for them. My dog eats stuffed animals. I know they are worth money & would like to be able to sell them. Problem is, I have no idea how to tell how much these things are worth or who to sell them to.

  1. the Ty website has a free trade board you can post your beanies for sale. Go to ty.com, up in the top left hand corner is BBOT. Click this and find a link to go to the registration page to register. After you get registered  post your BB's for sale. You can do that or ebay. As far as the sale price, most are worth only current retail value, if in excellent condition (mint tushtag, mint hang tag, and no discoloration, rips, tears or missing eyes). Try the site below. They buy BB's.

  2. Hi nictod04,

The easiest way is to use ebay to get the value.

    1. Log in

    2. Do a search for the item.

    3. Click the 'Completed Items' checkbox (this is why you needed to log in)

    4. Click the 'Show Items' button.

Now you will see completed auctions. If the dollar amount is in red, then the item did not sell.

You will see that most beanies go for under $5, but check all of yours, because several do go for much more money.

This method of determining value is SO much more accurate than any online price lists.

Where can you sell?  ebay has a pretty large market (the whole world) Craig's list is another venue. And yard sales will be a convenient way to get rid of the lower value ones.  But use this search method anyway to make sure you do not let something go for just a few bucks when it might be worth more.

    Good luck!
