Where can I send things that I want to give away?

In Australia, we have Salvation Army and St. Vincent's. We can find a bin provided especially for this purpose almost everywhere. If you live in an apartment building, it is usually located near the garbage chute.

What you got?  I just leave it in the alley behind my house and they take it if they need it.

Just put on craigslist items you have for free. or maybe get 40 bucks from. Those organizations are raising the prices to much now days. Or give to a church or womens organazation. Look online Or craigslist.com

good will or err what's it called.. i think it's brothers and sisters or something, they have big blue bins for you to drop your stuff off in, just look it up on google :)

Goodwill. It's always good to give and you can get a tax write-off =)
