Where can I stay in Ireland....?

I am planning a trip to Ireland and I am trying to find the perfect place to stay for 2 weeks. I'd prefer to be someplace in or around County Clare as the main attractions I want to see are the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, but anywhere near Blarney would be good too. I'd like to stay in a small self catering cottage in a rural locale, but all my on-line searching is coming up with pretty big cottages anywhere from 2 to 5 bedrooms. I don't want to waste money on a cottage that is too big for me, but I want to be someplace I can enjoy some peace and tranquility away from other people. Does anyone know of some places that fit my criteria?

Just in case you need some accommodation aside from the cottages [ i can't help you with this ] there is a very good directory here. They probably have some B&B guest houses and character places which you can sort by location, star rating and price:
