Where can I store my laptop and other personal stuff in london whilst backpacking thru Europe for a few months

I'm a aussie going to the uk and then setting off for a few months round europe to do some backpacking, I want to take my laptop and other personal stuff like clothes and shoes but don't want to take them travelling, anywhere safe I can store these things in london whilst i'm away ? i don't know anyone to leave it with. Are storage lockers at airports and train stations safe? would it be expensive leaving things in there for a few months as well?

it probably wont be cheap no, and i wouldn't try leaving it an airport or train station locker, they aren't exactly tip top safe and more to the point i'm not sure they would actually let you leave it for a few months.

http://www.bigyellow.co.uk/london.php is quite a big company that is very well known for giving secure self storage in a number of different sized rooms etc. they are known particularly for giving large amounts of storage but they do smaller lockers too in most of the warehouses.

at least you know you'll stuff will be safe :)
