Where can I study a variety of alternative education methods?

I am greatly in the different approaches currently available for education. Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf. I'm interested in finding degree/certificate programs in some or all of these methods. Classes would be a great start. Can anyone help?

  1. I am not sure about Reggio Emilia.  I would love to know more about that.

Information on becoming a Montessori teacher can be found at either the AMS Web Site   ( www.amshq.org )  or AMI  ( www.montessori-ami.org )

http://www.Mothering.com/discussions has a good forum for both Montessori and Waldorf.  It's worth reading through them.  I had trouble finding anything of substance about Waldorf before I read that forum.  I feel I have a better understanding now, though not perfect.

Malaguzzi, Loris. (1993). For an education based on relationships Young Children, 49 (1), 9-12.

It's so inspiring..... I hope to one day do a study tour or visit at least!
