Where can I submit/sell an article?

I wrote a really great (current) article today for one of my blogs. Where can I submit it for sale? How can I get publicity for it? Should I send it to the subject?

It would really help if we knew the subject of the article.

Then, you can find a publication that might have an interest in that particular subject.

You wouldn't sell an article on home improvement to Sports Illustrated.
